Overview

The Aila SDK is the core of Aila's vision and automation platform for iOS. Today, it powers more than 10 million transactions every day across self-service and worker-facing frontline workflows.

What Is the Aila SDK?​

The Aila SDK brings fast, private, and scalable computer vision directly to iOS devices. By harnessing the power of Apple's cameras, it delivers high-performance barcode scanning and data capture, with all processing done on-device so results are quick and data stays secure.

SoftScan​

Used on its own as SoftScan, the SDK turns an iOS device into a reliable frontline scanning tool. Teams can scan barcodes, read the MRZ on passports or other identity documents, and handle a range of other image-based tasks.

Kiosks & Workstations​

The SDK is also at the heart of Aila's Kiosks and Workstations, where it goes beyond the barcode. It captures ID-1 cards such as driver's licenses and health insurance cards, and scans full documents up to 8½ × 11 inches, all without the need for separate, dedicated hardware.
